Ingredients

Filling (like 2 apple pies: 10 apples)

  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 5 tablespoons cold water
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 egg yolks

Instructions

Cut butter into flour and salt. Mix together the water, lemon juice, and egg yolks. Combine the flour mixture and the egg mixture and mix well. Roll out like pie crust. Grease the bottom and sides of a cake pan or jelly roll pan. Put a layer of dough on the bottom. Add filling. Put another layer of dough on top of the apples. Bake 1 hour at 350°. Cool and frost with a powdered sugar/water/vanilla glaze.
