Butterscotch Candy

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup dark Karo syrup
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

Combine sugar and Karo syrup. Cook, stirring, until it starts to boil. Add the butter and vanilla. Continue cooking, stirring constantly, until hard crack stage. Pour into buttered 9 x 13 pan. Cool. When almost set, score the candy into square pieces. When cool, break into pieces and store in airtight container.

Mom always made this at Christmas when we were kids. It has a great caramel taste!
