Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

• 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
• 3/4 cup white sugar
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 12 oz. bag semisweet chocolate chips
• 1 cup shortening (I use half Crisco)
• 2 1/4 cups flour
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 teaspoon water
• walnuts, chopped (optional)

Instructions

Cream shortening, water, eggs, and vanilla together. Add flour, salt, and baking soda which have been sifted together. Mix well. Drop by heaping teaspoon onto baking sheet. Bake at 375° for about 7-10 minutes.
