Ingredients

Dry ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons shortening, melted
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 salt
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 cups cranberries, mixed with

Additional

  • 3/4 cup cream or evaporated milk
  • salt

Instructions

Combine flour, sugar, melted shortening, baking powder, salt, milk, and cranberries. Pour into a 9" x 13 pan and bake at 375° for 40 minutes (350° in glass pan).

Serve with sauce: Combine the cream, butter, sugar, vanilla, and salt. Bring to a boil and boil for 1-2 minutes.
