English Toffee Bars

Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup pecan halves
- 1 cup Hershey's milk chocolate chips
Instructions
Toffee topping (recipe follows):
- 1 cup Hershey's milk chocolate chips
Heat oven to 350°. In large mixer bowl combine flour, brown sugar and butter. Mix until fine crumbs form. (A few large crumbs may remain.) Press into ungreased 9" x 13" x 2" pan. Sprinkle with pecan halves. Prepare Toffee Topping. Drizzle evenly over pecans and crust in pan. Bake 20/25 minutes until toffee is bubbly over entire surface. Remove from oven. Immediately sprinkle with chocolate chips; press gently onto surface. Cool completely. Cut into bars.
Toffee Topping:
In small saucepan combine 2/3 cup butter and 1/3 cup packed brown sugar. Stir constantly over medium heat until boiling. Boil and stir 30 seconds; remove from heat. Use immediately.
