Frosted Brownies

Aunt Mary (Kay Ingvell)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 tablespoons unsweetened chocolate
  • 1 cup butter

Instructions

Mix the sugar and eggs together. Melt the chocolate and butter together. Sift together the flour, salt, and baking powder. Combine everything in a bowl and mix thoroughly. Put in a 9" x 13" pan and bake at 350°-375° for 30 minutes. Frost with the following recipe.

Frosting:

  • 1/2 cup soft butter
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • About 1/3 cup evaporated milk

Beat all together until desired consistency. Use to frost brownies.
