Glaze (Angel Food Cake)

Flavor can be easily changed: Substitute 2 tablespoons rum for vanilla (my favorite); cherry juice for fruit and extract; orange juice; for chocolate, substitute 2 tablespoons cocoa for chocolate, stir in 2 ounces melted unsweetened chocolate (cooled) with the sugar.

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 2 cups confectioner's sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons hot water (2 to 4 tablespoons)

Instructions

Melt butter in saucepan. Blend in sugar and vanilla. Stir in water, 1 tablespoon at a time, til glaze is proper consistency.
