Sandbakkels

These take a long time and are best made with at least one other person to help! I can still remember Mom and Adeline spending a whole day making these and bratzles--they loved every minute of it.

Adeline Fries / Gramma Lucille / Aunt Barb

Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 cups flour (Usually only)
  • 3 Vanilla Cardamon, or Anise
  • 1 cup sugar

Instructions

Dough is rather soft at first and hard to handle. Press into sandbakkel tins and place tins on a cookie sheet. Bake at 375° for down to 350°. You may have to turn can slightly slamming them, cookie Watch the baking. Cool slightly and remove from tins by lightly slamming them, side down, onto the table.
